Iokai Shiatsu training in Delft
Authentic Japanese massage therapy through the meridian system – in connection with yourself and others
What is Iokai Shiatsu?
Iokai Shiatsu is a traditional Eastern healing practice that uses the hands to support health and well-being. At its heart is the concept of ‘Ki’, or life energy. In Eastern medicine, our physical health, thoughts and emotions are all understood as expressions of Ki. Through Shiatsu massage, we work directly with this life energy, helping it flow freely and harmoniously throughout the body.
We all experience blockages in our bodies. These may develop through external influences, past experiences or the way we have lived our lives. From an Eastern medicine perspective, these blockages can disrupt the natural flow of Ki and may manifest in various ways, such as:
• little energy
• headache
• excessive thinking
• not feeling comfortable in your own skin
If Ki does not circulate properly over a long period of time, it can cause serious health problems. With this Shiatsu training, you will learn to give a massage that ensures Ki flows again and improves the symptoms.
With Shiatsu, you help improve your clients’ Ki circulation. But you also learn to improve your own Ki circulation. You gain more energy, become healthier and more stable.

“When I saw what was happening at the open day in Delft, I knew this was it!’
“As a gym owner and former professional footballer, I have always been interested in health and the body. The idea of self-healing and energy appealed to me enormously, but it took me a while before I dared to take the step to the Shiatsu training course. When I saw on the open day how teacher Tjerk treated someone and literally saw the energy flowing, I knew this was it.”.
The training is very practice-oriented, which suits me perfectly. From the very first lesson, you’re already working on yourself and others, and that makes the learning process really powerful. The structure is very clear: you start with the basics, but within a short time you already feel big changes in your body and mindset. The teachers guide you well, and I also learn a lot from my fellow students.”
