Boost your health, relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms
Spring and early summer are lovely seasons: it gets warmer, everything grows and flowers, and we are outside more often. But for many people, this is accompanied by symptoms such as watery eyes, itchy skin, a stuffy nose, or fatigue – classic symptoms of hay fever and allergies.
According to Eastern medicine, allergies occur when the body is out of balance. When energy flows properly, your immune system is better able to withstand external stimuli. But when that balance is disrupted, the system becomes overloaded more quickly.
Meridians that play a role in hay fever according to Eastern medicine include the Gallbladder, Large Intestine, Lung, and Triplex Warmth meridians. By treating these energy pathways and stimulating specific acupressure points, you can reduce allergy symptoms both in the short and long term.
During this workshop, you will receive practical tools to start working on this yourself. It is a first step towards gaining a deeper understanding of how energy works, and how to make a difference through attentive touch – both for yourself and for others.

Teacher at the Iokai Shiatsu Professional Training
“Connecting through touch” has been my driving force since my first encounter with shiatsu – 25 years ago. A simple touch can bring people back to their core. It is extraordinary to see students experience that for the first time: their wonder, emotion, and pride. Their development as therapists and their growing understanding of health from an Eastern perspective continue to inspire me.

Unique Shiatsu training in the Netherlands
The Iokai Shiatsu Professional Training is a 4-year part-time program that prepares you to become a certified Shiatsu therapist. The program is known for its practice-oriented, in-depth approach to Shiatsu as a way of life and not just as a profession.
And that’s not surprising; our teachers learned the subject directly from the founder of Iokai Shiatsu, Shizuto Masunaga. One of his students, Sasaki Sensei, is still associated with our training as a teacher.
You will learn not only about Shiatsu techniques, but also about the life philosophy behind them. How to use the power of touch to create a deep connection and integrate this into a holistic approach to health and well-being.
Our program offers:
A practical experience that you can immediately apply
Personal attention and guidance in small groups
Experienced teachers who share their passion and deep knowledge
A foundation for your professional and personal development

“After working in healthcare for many years, where the pressure is high and there is less and less time for personal attention with clients, I sought more depth in my profession. The Iokai Shiatsu training offered me that holistic approach, treating both the body and the energy flowing through it. What I particularly appreciate about the training is the combination of personal development and the practical focus on the profession. The teachers are a major strength of the training: they bring enormous experience and guide you with great attention and care, allowing you to truly grow.
Now that I’m entering my third year, I’m noticing that I’m calmer and more balanced. In two years” time, I want to start my own practice and help people in a meaningful way, with more attention and peace of mind than I ever could find in healthcare.”
